Newssuper, report Tania Kundu:Fueling installations are critical infrastructure in Railways, playing a pivotal role in optimising operational efficiency. Apart from minimising downtime, quick refueling ensures that trains run on schedule reducing waiting time and increasing overall efficiency. Fueling installations with proper safety features reduce the risk of accidents and at the same time ensure safe environment for train operations. Further, it’s instrumental in cost savings and Revenue Generation as well.
Fueling installations are required to be strategically located along the Railway routes, ensuring trains can refuel at convenient locations. In an endeavour to provide more convenient fueling, Sealdah Division has commissioned yet another modern fueling point for Diesel Locomotives at Ranaghat. After thorough overhauling, testing and calibration – Ranaghat fuelling installation has been operationalised. Henceforth, Diesel locos in and around Ranaghat will not be required to come to Beliaghata Loco Shed/Sealdah for fuelling thus saving crew, fuel cost and path.
New fueling installation at Ranaghat will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient, safe and environment friendly operation of trains, apart from generating revenue and reducing costs.
